How do I know that Armaid is right for me ?
Armaid is designed solely to work on the tight muscles, tendons and ligaments in the forearm, wrist, hand and elbow areas.
Check to see whether any part of your forearm has any tension or tightness by taking your free hand and rub along the forearm muscles. Are there any tight areas?
Have you felt burning, achy, sore, fatigued or ropey muscles in the hand or forearm and have felt the urge to massage anywhere along the arm, hand or elbow?
Have you previously had a massage in these areas and felt better?
Have you been diagnosed with “trigger points” (really tight and painful spots) in your forearm?
If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, we guarantee Armaid will work for you when used as directed. You may try Armaid risk-free with a money back guarantee.
How long do I have to use Armaid before I can feel results?
Most people begin to have positive results starting within the first one or two days of use.
If Armaid is going to work for you, you will have positive results within 3 weeks or less. The longer you’ve had your repetitive strain problem, the longer it will take to resolve your symptoms.
How can I tell if Armaid may not be for me ?
If your forearm muscles are loose, soft or tension-free then Armaid may not be for you.
Armaid will not work if your problems are entirely in your neck, shoulders, chest or armpits. Tight muscles, tendons, ligaments and misaligned joints in these areas can compromise nerve pathways that travel “downstream” from your neck into your arms and hands. The muscles in your forearm therefore may not be sore or tight but nonetheless have pain or other symptoms due to the nerve compression “upstream” in your neck, shoulder, chest or armpit. This may stem from long-term poor posture or a previous injury that has affected the neck and shoulders with chronic tension.
Why does Armaid look so different ?
The concept of Armaid came from observing the mechanical advantage of a nutcracker. You just can’t open a nut with your fingers alone. It is also very difficult to massage your own arms without some help or advantage. This simple but highly effective leverage design was specially patented and developed into Armaid to give people the power to massage themselves. It won’t look so strange after you feel relief.
Isn’t rubbing a tennis ball on my arm just as good as using Armaid ?
Armaid gives you clear benefits over other ways of massaging your arms because of the mechanical leverage advantage and the different attachments that are at the heart of Armaid. Armaid is able to reach areas and at variable pressures that are unattainable with any other massage tool.
How can I use Armaid if both of my arms and hands are sore ?
Armaid is highly effective for those people with bilateral problems. The mechanical leverage design of Armaid allows a person to put a minimum amount of pressure at the handles to produce multiple pounds of pressure at the area being treated. Which means very light effort produces maximum results.
How many times a day should I use Armaid ?
Always go slow at first, especially if your problems have taken a long time to develop. It is recommended that initially you use Armaid 2 to 3 minutes, 2 to 3 times a day. After you become familiar with how your muscles react to using Armaid, you may make your own schedule of how often and for how long you may need to use it. When symptoms subside and arm and hand health return, use Armaid for weekly maintenance to insure that symptoms do not return.
How do I know what attachment to use ?
The three attachments have three distinct densities; firm roller (hardest), soft roller (medium) and foam roller (softest). For most applications the firm roller is most often used but when you’re working in an area that has thin muscle mass or near bone, a softer attachment is used. When there is a lot of soreness in an area, you need to start with the soft or foam roller to gently introduce circulation. There are different maladies that need a particular attachment specific to that problem. The attachment section of the website gives full instructions on which one is best to use. If you have any questions, you may email us or call toll free and directly speak to a therapist.
How much pressure do I use ?
Use as much pressure as needed to give you a sense that something good is happening to relieve affected areas. That amount of pressure is what therapists call “useful pain” or they say it “hurts good”. Always go slow at first and never give the level of pressure that makes the “OW!” kind of pain. Change to a softer attachment when in doubt. Take a look at the website’s Pain Guide in the video section for more information.
My arms are very tender. Should I use Armaid while I’m so sore ?
It is important that circulation be introduced into sore areas. Never use the firm or soft roller if they cause the “OW!” kind of pain. Start by using the foam roller and gently roll over the affected area. If this is still too painful, then begin with gentle stretching and icing of the area and discontinue the activity that created the problem until you have had a chance to bring pain levels down. Take a look at the website’s Pain Guide in the video section for more information.
What else can I do besides Armaid to help my condition ?
Often there is not just one method to help bring balance into your body. For some people, Armaid is only a part of a holistic plan to help maintain arm and hand health. The journey of self-care is on-going and it explores what works for you, not necessarily someone else. There are many other complimentary methods, activities and lifestyle choices that can contribute to finding balance. See our Other Resources section and explore what may be of value to you.
Once I feel better, do I have to continue using Armaid ?
Use Armaid to check on any symptoms that may be slowly reoccurring “under the radar.” Sometimes you can’t know if an area is sore until it is touched. When you touch those areas that have been previously affected, you are getting an accurate picture of how your muscles are recovering and thereby keeping them from becoming as painful and restrictive as before. Use Armaid as a preventative maintenance device, as well as a treatment for symptoms.
